Why Be Food Safe?
Preventing food borne illness is one of our top priorities. Research shows that Americans are aware of food safety, but need more information to achieve and maintain safe food handling behaviors.

Food Handlers Educational Program - price may vary
Our two-hour program is designed for individuals who work with unpackaged and/or packaged food, food equipment or utensils, or food contact surfaces. This class can be conducted on-site or off-site. Discounts are available for large groups. The information presented is compatible with local and state regulatory requirements. Upon completion of the class, you will be issued a food handler card from your local health department. This class is offered to:
  • Churches
  • Professional and civic organizations
  • Daycare providers
  • Food service workers
  • Vendors

Our two-hour program targets individuals with an immune-compromised system. It is designed to provide practical guidance on how to reduce your risk of food borne illness. In addition to this practical guidance, we still encourage you to check with your physician or healthcare provider to identify foods and other products that you should avoid. This class is offered to:
  • Caregivers
  • Senior adults
  • Young children
  • Health related diet needs
  • Transplant recipients
  • HIV/AIDS individuals
  • Expectant mothers
